Directions to the Hood House
From the North (by way of I-80)
From Cheyenne take I-80 West 126 miles (76 from Laramie), or from Rock Springs take I-80 East 128 miles until you get to the Walcott/Saratoga Exit #235. Go South 20 miles until you reach Saratoga. In town, take your second Right on Saratoga Avenue. Go two blocks and take a left on 3rd Street.
From the South
There are a few ways you can come from the South:
(1) From Laramie, you can go West on the Snowy Range Road (68 miles) until you reach the junction of Highway 130. Go North (right) 8 miles until you get to Saratoga. This is a scenic drive, but it is only open in the summer.
(2) Again from Laramie, go Southwest on Highway 230 about 44 miles. The road dips down into Colorado and becomes Highway 127. Turn right at the junction of 127 and Highway 125 and go Northwest for 36 miles (becomes WY 230 again). In Riverside, turn right to stay on Highway 230 and go North into Saratoga (about 18 miles). Once in Saratoga, continue almost all the way through town until you reach Saratoga Avenue. Go left for two blocks and take another left on 3rd Street.
(3) you can go North from Walden Colorado, which is West of Fort Collins, North of Silverthorne, Kremmling and Granby, and East of Steamboat Springs. From Walden, take CO 125 North for 13 miles to the 125/127 Junction and go Left on CO 125. From there the directions are the same as #2.
